Metallipalvelu Hartikainen Load Bearing Structure project in Kuopio city

The Savilahti Sports and Events Centre in the City of Kuopio is a meeting place for approximately 2,500 people. The events centre is located in the heart of the Savilahti district of the Depot area and is the end point of the park and local service complex. The centre is part of the district’s security by providing a shared civil protection shelter for almost 7,000 people. The multi-purpose centre moves a large number of schoolchildren, students, sports and sports clubs and individual residents. At the same time, it provides space for various events, such as concerts, seminars and tournaments, main league games and international matches.

The project of the City of Kuopio included a new suspended joint support system, which is intended to act as a level for building services and provide the users of the sports hall with the desired architectural environment. The joint support system performance requirement complies with EN1090 EXC-2, which was manufactured, delivered and installed by Metallipalvelu Hartikainen. Before delivery to the site, the installation schedules and installation sequence were agreed upon in the kick-off meeting, taking into account the site schedules by work phase. The delivery included primary structures to be attached to the rock and secondary structures, the installation of which was a large part of the project. The installation schedule was affected by other construction tasks inside the cave. The surprising challenges of rock construction brought changes to the overall schedule, which brought changes to the installation schedule and installation sequence for us. Despite the changes, we were able to complete a successful project together with the main contractor. The installation phase was technically challenging, because Metallipalvelu Hartikainen installation team had to work in a cave and the structure was attached to the rock as a hanging installation. The final inspection was carried out according to the schedule and the project was handed over to the customer with a seal of approval.

Metallipalvelu Hartikainen manufactured the structures at its own factory in Juuka, scheduled the deliveries, ensured that the site schedule was suitable for the rest of the project as a subcontractor, performed the site installation and controlled the high-quality end result.

MPH Products delivered MPH Ditch Plough to Ukraine to improve water management for crops

MPH Products met a Ukrainian customer at the Agritechnica trade fair in Germany last year and the customer became interested in the MPH Ditch Plough. The customer’s large arable areas suffer from ponding during heavy rains, which can be comparable in area to small lakes. The MPH Ditch Plough provides a quick solution for draining flooded areas.

We believe that the first MPH Ditch Plough delivered will lead to additional deliveries. The need for use is big, because Ukrainian farms are a hundred times larger than elsewhere in Europe. Even in the current state of fragmentation, Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe in terms of area. More than half of the country’s area is agricultural land.

From the perspective of foreign investors, the nutrient-rich black soil found in temperate steppes is Ukraine’s most attractive resource.

It has been studied that the effects of floods in Ukraine can be very extensive. Floodwaters that spread to fields contaminate the soil. Flooding causes damage to human health and food production lasting for decades, even hundreds of years.

After Kauppi project – Our next steel construction site in Ylöjärvi

Metallipalvelu Hartikainen Oy delivered, installed and managed the project management of the largest EN1090 EXC-3 steel structure delivery for the ski and baseball stadium of the city of Tampere during last spring and early summer 2022. The site was a candidate for Steel Structure of the Year 2022 and the award was won by Turku Toripaviljongit. The award goes to a construction project that is architecturally of a high standard and uses steel and other metals insightfully in the construction phase.

Our next steel construction site was in Ylöjärvi, where our customer builds equipment protection for his machines. The delivery included erection the structures. The site was challenging due to the height of the structures and the installation site.

Agricultural Machinery Trade Fair in Messukeskus Helsinki at 13.-15.10.2022 – MPH Trailer with Bale Side Supports was particularly interesting

MPH Products participated at the fair in the domestic retailer Lantmännen Agro’s stand (6e90) last week. MPH Trailer 30 and Grader 5.3 were shown. Fair visitors were particularly interested in Trailer with hydraulic bale side supports – Bale Side Supports are an accessory for all Trailer models.

MPH Trailer 30XL with Animal Transport Equipment is the latest delivery to our customer. The additional equipment for Trailers is versatile and they can be installed on the delivered products.

The fair visitors were particularly interested in the domestic supplier’s products and the versatility of the product range.
